Buckingham Club Chicago

I take my gf to Chicago for her birthday and I have taken on the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago's downtown, and just need some ideas of things to do, romantic ideas on places to eat, fun clubs and finally a hot spot to propose. I like the idea of Buckingham Fountain, but can be heard under construction ... but also want to get back up other ideas. Thank you!

Buckingham turned against brother. A car has around him and he was not running.

My other brother was in the hall of the signature at the Hancock. AWESOME place. You can not beat it.

Gran Lux is a very very nice, but I do not know about the proposal ...

Buckingham Fountain is enjoyable, but you might also consider Millennium Park, just north of the Art Institute. The place is beautiful. And while it's a cliched, the Signature Room atop the John Hancock building is amazing.

I recommend the Grand Lux Cafe on Michigan Avenue.

The Ferris wheel at Navy Pier is a great spot if it is warm enough.

What about dinner / dance on a cruise ship to Navy Pier? I can imagine that this could be quite romantic. Have not done it myself but I heard it is really special.

I'd say room for signature at the Hancock is really nice for dinner and a proposal. or you can do what my husband did and to propose a carriage ride in downtown .. I thought it was very nice and romantic =)

Go to Iggy its place a city center but very quiet

Atwood coffee may be what you are looking for. the decor has a lot of dark wood and is very impressive. I recommend the scallops and banana bread pudding with white chocolate.

How about room for signature at the John Hancock building? I think it would be an ideal place to offer .. its beautiful, overlooking the city and only romantic ...

I'd say either the Signature Room, the perfect place. Or Everest which is further south in the loop. The views and food are fantastic at Everest. If you choose be sure to make reservations and request a window table. A little story for you, the living room to the Signature is a floor above and not very crowded. If you wish to suggest he call ahead and inform them of your intentions, they will help you. A final piece of questionnaires. From Memorial Day and every weekend thereafter, Navy Pier fireworks shoot. You can clearly see the Signature Room. It would be nice to go to a restaurant, and offer just as the fireworks off.
