A package containing about 200 pension statements has disappeared after being sent by an agency of the Scottish government, it appeared.
The printed statements contained names and national insurance numbers but no addresses or bank details.
A spokesman described as "a serious matter" and said efforts were continuing to trace the package.
The Liberal Democrats said an "urgent review and extensive of all data management procedures is necessary.
The statements were sent to the Scottish Public Pensions Agency (SPPA) to NHS Greater Glasgow on October 26.

I can not believe they use standard mail. Everyone knows% of missing parcels etc (can not be helped). What a joke bldy is becoming.

but at least forewarned is forearmed - have been several phishing emails yesterday telling me that my online bank account was suspended and to go to a particular link ..........
if we have not heard the news that this type of activity was possible some people might fall for it .........
FYI - i get loads of these e-mails throughout the year anyway, but I have not used their accounts with banks so they are safe this week, they were by persons claiming to be my bank

Regarding the details of things that disappear, that's all a smokescreen, so that all British citizens will panic and feel safe when they bring a new system to year should be very interesting.
